Convention n°ANR11 TecSan 01504-The Biobanque de Picardie is a partner of the project SUPPLIVER, recipient of the call for projects TecSan 2011 (Technologies pour la Santé et l’Autonomie) funded by the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR). This project, involving 6 partners spread across the country, is coordinated by the Dr. Cecile Legallais’ Lab (UMR CNRS 6600, UTC). This project aims to develop a bioartificial liver by a tissue engineering approach in order to address the shortage of available grafts. The Biobanque de Picardie will especially be in charge of developing the techniques and protocols for cryopreservation of the hepatocytes three-dimensional culture systems.
Biobanque de Picardie is part of the BIOBANQUES project answering the call for projects “National infrastructures in biology and health”. This project has been approved and awarded a grant from “Grand Emprunt”.
Biobanque de Picardie is a partner of the CKD- REIN project "N°ANR-10-COHO-01" financed by the “Grand Emprunt”. The CKD-REIN was ranked the first among the projects answering the call for projects “Cohortes”.
Biobanque de Picardie has successfully renewed its ISO 9001:2008 certification and maintained the NFS 96900 one as a biological resource center (collection, preparation methods, validation and quality control, preparation, aliquotage, storage, management and distribution of documented biological samples).
Biobanque de Picardie is collaborating with the Biochemistry and Internal Medicine departments of Amiens University Hospital in a regional collaborative project (PHRC). This project is aiming to link the RANKL/OPG ratio to osteoporosis in a population suffering from Lupus erythematosus disease.
Biobanque de Picardie in collaboration with Dr. Gondry J. from the Center of Genecology and obstetrics at Amiens University Hospital are pursuing a project aiming to collect and store mesenchymal stem cells from human umbilical cord. The isolated cells are available for the entire scientific community upon request.
Biobanque de Picardie is collaborating with a French biotechnology company to preclinicaly evaluate cancer treatment with new therapies.
